Velociraptor puppet - August 2012

An experimental rod puppet of Velociraptor as one of my final school projects. Though it is life size due to the internal puppetry, the anatomy is slightly off. I also under estimated how many feather I needed and as a result the arms and underbelly are not fully feathered. He is made from foam latex and stands about 2.5 feet tall and 5.9 feet long.

Battle of the Titans - Tyrannosaurus Rex & Triceratops life-size replicas

From October till the end of January I was working at Hall Train Studios for Seonna Taisteal Travelling Exhibit inc.’s “Battle of the Titans.” The show opened on January 26th 2013 at the Royal Botanical Gardens and will run there until April 7th 2013. The main attraction and one of the part I work on most are the the life-size Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops.

“The battle of the titans is a formidable clash between a Tyrannosaurs Rex and Triceratops as science has proved it happened and happened often. It’s also a show about ecology, the study of organisms and the environment. It is the first time anywhere that so much detail and science has come together in one exhibit with a theme to educate and entertain.
The power of our exhibit lies in the fact that it’s seemingly bombastic, action-packed theme leads to an astounding truth about the quiet forces, the perpetual symmetry and balance of nature that can both create giants and send them off to oblivion.”
